In Their Own Words · Sworn Declaration
“A female representative of the Iranian regime from the Iranian Interest Section was on the other line of this phone call. The representative knew my name, my A number, and all the details of my asylum case, including the basis of my asylum claim, where I was in my asylum process, and even she told me that she had the entire transcript of my fear interview. The representative told me that, as we speak, she has my whole case file in her hands, and that this was all sent to them by ICE.”

Sworn Declaration
“The Senior Official disclosed that, approximately one year earlier, the U.S. State Department had instituted a new system and new policy concerning Iranian detainees. He stated that this change in policy was initiated by the U.S. Department of State reaching out to him, and that a meeting took place in Washington, D.C., under the auspices of the Embassy of Pakistan. At this meeting, according to the Senior Official, the State Department stated, in substance and effect, that the State Department wanted to ‘get rid of Iranian detainees’ and asked the Islamic Regime for help.”

What We Filed
We're Asking the Court to Step In
Lawsuits take time. But the harm to Iranian asylum seekers cannot wait.
Our emergency motion asks the court to order the government to stop sharing asylum seekers' confidential records with Iran — immediately, while the whole case is being litigated.
Think of it as a temporary pause button — the court steps in to prevent ongoing harm while the full case is decided.
|
When someone flees Iran and applies for asylum here, they share the most sensitive details of their life. The law promises that information stays confidential.
Our lawsuit says the government broke that promise — passing those records to Iranian officials. What's already been shared cannot be undone. But the court can stop it from continuing.

“Every day this continues is a day in which people who trusted the United States with their most sensitive information remain at risk. We are asking the court to stop this now.”

In Their Own Words · Sworn Declaration
“His presence inside a U.S. detention facility was terrifying. He looked exactly like regime intelligence operatives — stiff posture, harsh facial expression and the same type of shirt collar and unkempt style associated with IRGC or Ministry of Intelligence agents. The moment I saw him, I felt cold and sick. Others reacted the same way. He had our names written down and had specific, detailed knowledge about our immigration cases.”
